Det var i juni 2022 som Sonos släppte sin egna röstassistent till sina smarta högtalare och idag släppte de en uppdatering så den fungerar med Spotify.
Alla Sonos-användare som använder Spotify kan från och med idag gå in i appen och välja att kunna kontrollera Spotify med sin röst om man har Sonos Voice Control aktiverat. Det trevliga är att Sonos Voice Control och Amazon Alexa fungerar samtidigt så vill man kunna använda sig av båda röstassistenterna så går det utmärkt. Nedan är ett par exempel på saker som går att säga:
- “Hey Sonos, play ‘Hey Jude’ by the Beatles on Spotify”
- “Hey Sonos, play ‘Dangerous: the double album’ by Morgan Wallen on Spotify”
- “Hey Sonos, play ‘’Sunny Day’ playlist on Spotify”
- “Like this song“
- “Like this album“
- “Unlike this song“
- “Unlike this album“
- “Add this song to my library“
- “Add this album to my library“
- “Remove this song from my library“
- “Remove this album from my library“
- “Add this album to my Workout playlist“
- “Add this playlist to my Workout playlist“
Sonos Voice Control fungerar oavsett om du inte betalar för Spotify och kör deras gratisalternativ eller betalar för det. Det finns dock vissa begränsningar om du kör Spotify Free där du bland annat inte kan be Sonos spela en specifik låt. För att aktivera Sonos Voice Control och knyta det till Spotify behöver du bara gå in i inställningarna i Sonos-appen, tryck på “Tjänster och röst”, “Sonos Voice Control” och bocka i “Tjänst att använda som standard”.
